Salad Doesn't Have to Be Boring ( My favorite Summer Salad)

When most people think of a salad they think of it as something boring and blah, and even equate it to eating grass or rabit food.

Making healthy salads is totally a work of art and fun to eat too!. Salads include a variety of different ingredients and flavors in them, which allows you to customize them to your needs! I mean how many times do you enjoy a delicious salad at a restaurant and wish you could make it at home?

Most people find quite like a square peg in a round hole when they are faced creating or recreating a salad at home. It doesn’t have to be difficult!

Here is a sample list of what you could use:

  • Greens ( lettuce, kale, spinach, italian mix..choose your favorite!)

  • Veggies (tomato, pepper, cucumber, red onion)

  • Fruit ( strawberries, rasberries, blueberries)

  • Nuts and Seeds (Walnuts, Pumpkin Seeds, Almonds, Capers, Peanuts)

  • Grains ( quinoa, bulgar, brown rice)

  • Healthy Fats (avocado, Olive Oil )

  • Dressing of Choice ( i love making a simple dressing of olive oil, vinegar , lemon and spices of choice)

That doesn’t seem so bad does it? You simply mix and max choices from above and you have a delicous salad!

When you decide to add more salads to your diet, you are thus committing yourself with the world of healthier eating habits. You will release unwanted pounds, your skin will become healthier and you will have more energy. You are nurturing your body from the inside out.

Here is one of my favorite go to salads :

  • 1 large onion, diced
